Anthony House has been available to the homeless of Central Florida since 1984. Begun by Franciscan Father John Regan on a 3 acre parcel with one building, Anthony House has grown to the current 3 buildings with the capacity of housing 58 people.
Our mission is to guide the guests of Anthony House to self sufficiency. We aim to help the guests achieve increased independence, to acquire more permanent housing, and to obtain gainful employment so as to better themselves and become productive members of the community.
We seek to accomplish the mission and goals by providing room and board for a nominal fee, case management, employment counseling courtesy of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, education classes, referrals to partnering agencies, and guidance in developing savings. It is our expectation that the those accepted into Anthony House will implement the daily regimen, the recommendations of the case manager, and the policies of Anthony House explained during the intake sessions and house meetings.
